La Bellona is named after our Merlot vineyard.
Merlot because it comes from the desire to experiment with new combinations to elevate our Barbera.
A wine that cannot be described, it can only be tasted.
Traditionally paired with long, slow-cooked beef stew.
A wine characterised by a deep ruby red colour, intense and persuasive aromas with fruity hints, including notes of black cherry, plum and raspberry, as well as spicy hints. Soft, warm and very elegant.

Vinification: fermentation in temperature-controlled vitrified concrete tanks and long maceration of the solid part (skins and seeds) in the wine. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation in early spring. No filtrations prior to bottling. Ageing: 12 months in 225L barriques used for the second and third time.
